Summertime and the Livin is Easy...

Click here for satisfactory, check there for hispanic,
Finishing these report cards may end like titanic..
Frantic, Frantic- trying not to panic- feeling sort of manic
My to do list is gigantic, larger than the atlantic!
If I get any more, the stress'll be volcanic
Assessments and paperwork are surely satanic! :P

With that now aside... let us look ahead to the summer.. oh, summer.. how I long for you. You are just out of reach yet I sense you are near. Will you please come to me soon?? :)

What are you doing this summer? I need some ideas.. we are planning on hitting each and every VBS that we can! lol So far though, I am not sure what's going to happen. There's a summer camp for Boys & Girls club that we may be able to get into. It is usually fun and has a lot of outings. We are also going to do a local baseball camp- the boys don't know yet but I'm sure they'll be quite excited! (I have 4 of them now, by the way...) I plan on doing some camping with them too.. maybe a trip to the beach. We shall see.. I don't really want to spend a lot of money so I would love to know what all of you are planning!

We have been doing tons lately.. we are trying to live/eat healthier so we have gone out on a few walks around town and I am trying my best to make healthy (and fulfilling!) meals. I could use your ideas there too!! I can make anything.. I just don't know a whole lot of ideas! (Comes from a lack of food network.. no cable, you know!?) My dishwasher is on the fritz, apparently it's been storing up some water somewhere so we got a nice, funky smell yesterday coming from it when I discovered that... :P  Anyway.. I have a couple kids that could really benefit from some exercise.. so, less sitting around for us! (Which, well, we don't ever do anyway so... lol)
"Southwest" Salad we had last night...

So.. foster parents, birth parents.. whoever you are reading this.. take 2 minutes and reply to my post! :) Tell me what your plans are for the summer. Give me some suggestions. Invite us along. Whatever.. And, some healthy dinner ideas would be great too! Thanks for reading!!

Michael

Love reading your blog! I'm going to Facebook message you some recipes Aaron and I use (that way I don't hog your comments section!). Also, Radius Church in Lexington is doing a "summer olympics" VBS thing, if y'all are interested. I don't have the info on me, but I can get it if you want it. :)

Lots going on around town in Lexington and Columbia this summer. Don't forget about the free (or $1 - not sure which) at Pastime Pavillion movie theter on Tuesday and Wednesdays - good for those super hot days! FT. Jackson waterpark - kind of expensive but i hear it is really fun. Orangeburg YMCA waterpark - again, I hear it is fun. Go to the dam at the lake - I think parking is $3. Saluda Shoals waterspray park - I think the armbands are $3 each kid.Shandon Baptist VBS is June 11-15 - always great!!! - We may see you guys at the baseball camp - are you doing the one at Howard park July 9-13?? That isthe one I'm looking at.Saxe Gotha has a basketball camp - look on their website. And - Carolina Gymnastics over on Rabon road in Columbia has a gymnastics camp practically every week this summer. One in hte morning and one in the afternoon - if you run out of stuff for the boys. It is a little pricey but you may be able to work a deal (they did run a deal on Living Social earlier this month so they may be open to discounting the camp for you). Hope this comment isn't too long. - hope to see you around town this summer!
